Our Downend Baby & Toddler Unit was opened in January 2010 to cater for the high demand for places at our Downend Road setting. Instead of running two settings in parallel we decided that the ‘bungalow’ facilities at Coronation Road were ideal for babies and under threes whilst the premises at Downend Road with their larger, open gardens were better suited to the older children.

Coronation Road is a secure setting set back away from the road in a quiet environment. The setting benefits from play areas front and back, which have been prepared for use by babies and toddlers (soft surface, high walls/fence). Parents benefit from on site drop-off and collection parking as well as Mama Bear’s longer opening hours that are standard across all our settings. Children integrate with the Pre-schoolers at Downend Road and make frequent visits to use their garden.

The nursery caters exclusively for children from three months to around 30 months in well-resourced rooms specifically designed for these ages.
